FIRST AND LAST

Assalamuaalaikum and Peace to the readers. I bet all of you are wondering why I titled my post as FIRST And LAST. I just wrapped up my LAST visit to Rumah Juara in Petaling Jaya last Sunday on the 24th of May 2015. The feelings that I had and the things that I experienced was completely different than what I had on my FIRST visit that makes me wonder what just happenned to me.

We are given short and quick briefing by Miss Cecilia on our FIRST day. Me with the red shirt was looking quite nervous.

On my first visit, things that happened were totally out of my expectation. The kids happy when we visited them and i was a bit shocked by that because I expect that they will not be happy given that we are strangers. The kids there were so energetic and always trying to show off their skills to us and it takes quite a time before we calm them down and try to interact with them better. One of our activities during that day was to teach them on how to use the computer. We taught them how to type a letter and making a presentation by using Microsoft Words and PowerPoint respectively. After that we play a bit of indoor games such as chess and board games with them to loosened things up a bit and make us approachable to them.
Me teaching one of the kids on a basic management of a computer.

On my LAST visit, the kids greeted me and my group much more excitedly and the looks on their faces were much more happier than the FIRST visit. We tried to have more fun by playing indoor games on our LAST visit rather than the boring stuff that we did on the other days such as tuition. Tuition is quite fun to me as i seen the looks on their faces trying to digest and understand the things that we taught them but still, the kids got it after quite a time and stressful moment of their lives. The last activity that we did was preparing a dinner for them. With Lee Kah Soon appointed as our Head Chef, me and the other members help to prepare the ingredients such as peeling the garlic and dicing the onion and a lot of other stuff.
Ming Jing and Vicky were slicing the fish balls with Jacky supervising them. Professional right..
After we finished preparing the meals, we placed them on the tables for the kids to feast on their hungry bellies. We felt so good when they said the meal was tasty and to their liking. As we approached the end of our visit, we took a picture with the kids before saying our farewell and wish them luck on their journey of their lives.
The Gentlemen's Club.

With the girls of Rumah Juara.
So, that's what my post is all about. My FIRST and LAST visit on Rumah Juara. Thanks to those who have taken their precious time and read my post. Stay healthy and Peace Yo.!!
